The older Hindu temples are concentrated in the Hathi Gate area of the Old city. The Durgiana Temple is modeled on the Harmandir, with a gold- plated sanctum in the middle of a tank.
There is a HANUMAN MANDIR behind the DurgianaTemple. As per legend, it marks the spot where Luv Kush bested Hanuman in battle, after having captured the horse from Rama’s Ashwamedh Yajna.
