Places to visit Bulandshahr

KARNAVAS:  Karnavas village is 12 km away from Anupshahr named Choti Kashi and 8km from Narora Atomic power plant.  It is situated near the bank of sacred river Ganga.  The place has derived its name from the Great King Karnavas.  It has a very significant mention in the epic Mahabharta as the King Karnavas used to distribute  Dan of savamn (gold) everyday.

This place is also known across the world for the famous temple of Goddess Kalyani.   In the epic  'Mahabharata'  Kalyani is the name of one of the Krittikas, or Pleiades. Kalyani is also the name of Hindu goddesses Durga and Parvati.

MUDFORT KUCHESAR:  If you want to feel the royal comforts this is the place to live in.The fort was constructed in the middle of the 18th century by the Jat rulers. In the year 1763, the fort was captured by the enemies and was only recovered by the brave clan of Jat rulers in 1782. At present, the Mud Fort of the past era has been transformed into a luxury hotel offering modern amenities to the guests.Sugarcane fields and mango orchards in the lush backyard of the River Ganges, Kuchesar offers a holiday like no other.


BELON:  It is a small village 65 km from Bulandshahr.  The best time to visit this place is from Oct-Nov.  This place is known for its beatiful park and Belon temple.  It is dedicated to Devi Sarva Mangala-the Goddess of all wellbeing. It is believed that one who visits this place, gets the blessings of happiness in all aspects..


AHAR:  According to the Mahabharta Ahar was an important place for Pandavas.  It is in Anupshahr mandal and is 39.1 kms from Bulanshahr. Gawan,Khanpur,Hasanpur,Babrala,Ghanaur,Shikarpur and Jahanigiradabad are the places one can visit when in Ahar.

CHOLA:  It is a village in the mandal Sikdrabad. Chola is 10.8 km distance from its District Main City Bulandshahar Dehat . And 353 km distance from its State Main City Lucknow.
