Corporation Bank is engaged to serve its banking services to its customers as the bank is public sector bank. Corporation Bank is one of the oldest banks of India. The Bank was established on 12th of March 1906 with the name of Canara Banking Corporation Udipi Limited. Khan Bahadur Haji Abdull Haji Kasim Saheb Bahadur led a small group of philanthropists. They started the bank to fulfil the need of banking institute at Udupi. The Bank’s name was changed in 1939 as Canara Banking Corporation Limited then changed in 1972 as Corporation Bank Limited and at last Corporation Bank was chosen with this name the bank was nationalized on 15th of April.

Initially the business of the bank was started with the total RS of 5000 as the capital of the one day. The first branch of Corporation Bank was begun in 1923 at Kundapur.
