The company was came existence on July 23rd, 1919 by the Tata Founder member Sir Dorab Tata. The main Head Office of the company is located in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra. The New India Assurance company is a first fully owned insurance company of India. The company has commenced their business worldwide in 1920. It has spread owned businesses in 27 countries with the network of 12 branches and 2 subsidiary companies. The insurance company was nationalized in the year of 1973 by the Government of India.
