AMW Motors known with the name Asia Motors Works Limited. It is a manufacturer of commercial vehicles, trucks, heavy trucks, concrete mixers, truck servicing, tractors, auto components and many automotive and general engineering industries products. The journey of AMW was started from the 19th century. Sir Cyril Zoysa established the Associated Motorways Limited company in 1949. That time the manufacturing brand produced the tyre rebuilding and rubber goods. In 1992, it started manufacturing of the automotive truck tyres under CEAT brand with the joint venture of RPG Group of India. Some other joint ventures of AMW are having with Autoways of Malaysia for retreating and retreading of light truck tyres by using cold process technology. The product range includes heavy duty trucks, tippers, long haul/tractors and special purpose trucks like 2516 TM urban infrastructure development, 2518 TM, 3118 TM highest payland capacity, 2518 batching plant, 2518 concrete pump, 2518 drilling rig and 3123 concrete pump. The AMW provides the facility for small business enterprises become the dealer in monopoly. AMW is also congealment for Corporate social responsibility activities like employment, community building, healthcare and environment.
