It was established on 1st of June 1996 and the registered office of Astro is located at Malaysia. Astro purchased the license of sole pay TV provider from the Malaysia Government in the year of 2012. Astro was launched the first high definition broadcast channels in Malaysia in the year of 2009 under the act of B.Yond Personal Video Recorder introduced in the year of 2010. After that Astro launched over the top services as an DTH Satellite and TV service. It was the non subscription satellite TV as on February 2015. Astro has won lot of awards for the better performance in Media and Entertainment field. The firm got awards such as Gold Award, Putra Brand Award, Brand of the Year Award in the year of 2013, International Business Award in 2013, Silver Stevie Award 2014, All these awards are given to the Astro for its best efforts, innovations, best quality and strong responsibilities. Astro provides lot of facilities to all the customers such as Astro High Definition System, Astro PVR, Astro IPTV, On Demand Entertainment, Multi room, Astro On the Go, Astro First and Best, NJOI and Astro for Business.
