Bharat Broadband Network Limited is well known as BBNL which was came into existence through the Indian Government as per the Administrative Ministry of Communication and IT, Management and Operation of NOFN and Department of Telecommunications for the establishment. The incorporation of the BBNL was held on 25th of February 2012 as PSU as per the Companies Act 1956 with the mission to offer the Broadband Connectivity with 100 Mbps browsing speed in all rural areas. The NLDO National Long Distance Operating License and ISP Category ‘A’ Licence were granted to BBNL by DOT. In 2013, the all villages were planned to get connect through Fiber Optic Network which was planned by BBNL.
The services of BBNL include the non-discriminatory access to service providers. BBNL planned to release Bandwidth among the Grampanchayat to Block which would be minimum 2Mbps. The BBNL services are available across the country and these services are as per the TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) and the GPON stands for Gigabit Passive Optical Network standard technology used.
