PK Sinha (Pradeep Kumar Sinha) (conceived July 18, 1955) is an Indian civil worker who is the 31st Cabinet Secretary of the Republic of India. He is an Uttar Pradesh framework IAS officer of the 1977 group. Preceding this arrangement he dealt in as the Power Secretary of India since July 2013 and as Secretary in Ministry of Shipping before that. Pradeep Kumar Sinha is an Economics graduate from St. Stephen's College, Delhi and completed master degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. He holds an MPhil degree also. The Union Government established a choice council headed by bureau secretary P.K. Sinha for the shortlisting of the contender for RBI governorship following the finish of Raghuram Rajan's term in September 2016. Dr Urjit Patel was designated as Governor of RBI, with impact from 04 September 2016. Sinha has served in different key posts in both the Government of India and the Government of UP, for example, Principal Secretary (Irrigation), administrator of Varanasi division, IC (Investment Commissioner) of Uttar Pradesh, other CEO of Greater Noida, additional resident official of Uttar Pradesh, the locale justice and collector of regions of Agra and Jaunpur, secretary of UDA (Uttaranchal Development Authority) and as the Vice administrator of MDA (Meerut Development Authority) in the UP government, and as the Cabinet Secretary of India, Union Power Secretary, USS (Union Shipping Secretary), exclusive secretary and money related counsel in the (MoP&NG) Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, joint secretary in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in the Indian government. Sinha was named the Cabinet Secretary of India on May 29, 2015 by the ACC (The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet).
