Rajiv Gauba (conceived 15 August 1959; is a 1982 group IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer belonging with Jharkhand unit. He at present is the Home Secretary of India. Gauba has served in different positions for both the Government of India and the Government of Jharkhand, inclusive of as the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand, RC (Resident Commissioner) of Jharkhand, and as the locale justice and collector of Gaya, Nalanda and Muzaffarpur regions—before the division of Bihar in the Jharkhand government, and as the Union Home Secretary, UUDS (Union Urban Development Secretary), additional secretary in the MHA (Ministry of Home Affairs), additional secretary in the MoC (Ministry of Communications), joint secretary in the MoE (Ministry of Environment), Forest and Climate Change, and as the private secretary to the Minister of Defense in the Indian government. On 20 January 2015, Gauba was named the Chief Secretary of the Government of Jharkhand by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Gauba demitted the workplace of the chief secretary when he was delegated as a secretary in the Government of India. In the time of 1 April 2016 Rajiv Gauba was chosen as the Union Urban Development Secretary by the ACC (Appointments Committee of the Cabinet).
