Damaged Hair Solutions

The peak of summer season is rowing, trying to catch your hair and deep fry them. I am sure, by now you must have damaged your hair, don’t you??

The road to healthy hair is not just washing them and conditioning them. But, it is paved with products, potions, proteins and deep conditioners.

If you already have fried hair or suffering from split ends, sun damage and tangles, it’s time to operate your hair!! It’s important to remember that your fried hair cannot turn into soft silk threads in just a day, but by developing these habits you can definitely give them a shape of silk threads.

1) De-Gunk Your Tresses:

You wash your hair, but have you ever given it a second thought, the water that comes in your tap, can be hard water? No, you won’t have even thought about it once!!
It is advisable, a good clarifying shampoo, a baking soda clarifying treatment or an apple cider vinegar rinse are great options for removing hard water deposits and mineral build-up on your hair. You can follow this atleast once a month.

2) Protect Your Tresses from Sun Exposure:

You know who is your hair enemy? SUN is your hair enemy. Sun light with harmful UV rays, affect your hair color and fades them resulting in split ends. Sun shines throughout the year. Sun’s rays are harmful not only during summers but in winters as well. After a long day’s sun exposure, it is important to give your hair a nice long hydrating treatment to keep damage at bay.

You can prepare your own hydrating solution at home. All you have to do is get jojoba oil and essential rosemary oil.

• Take 1 spoon of jojoba oil and put 3 drops of essential rosemary oil. Mix well.
• Apply on the hair length.
• Wrap your hair in a towel and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
• Wash your hair with a shampoo that suits your hair type.

3) Try a Hot Oil Treatment:

It is not necessary to empty your pockets and get hot oil treatments from parlors. Believe me; it can be easily done at home.

• Apply your favourite hair oil generously to clean, towel dried hair. You can raid your kitchen and try olive oil or lemon grass oil.
• Cover with a shower cap or plastic wrap and apply heat using a hot towel.
• After heating the oil, allow your hair to cool at room temperature, and rinse with cold water.
Hot oil treatments can be done one to three times per month depending on your damaged hair.

4) Get a Good Deep Conditioning Treatment:

Do not apply conditioner every day. Instead keep it regular once a week. This will neither damage your hair but will also prevent further breakage. Always choose a conditioner which suits your hair type. Make sure, the conditioner you use, won’t weigh your hair down, or cause your hair to feel greasy. Deep conditioning is more important if you have colored hair.

5) Get a Haircut:

If your tresses are damaged and you need to get them back in shape, go for a haircut. This will atleast chop off your split ends and will make it easier for you to start with the repair process. Follow these five simple steps and turn your fried hair into soft silk threads. Love your hair!!
