The KFC was started in the of year 1930 and its first franchise was founded in year 1952. The global head office of the KFC is situated at Louisville, Kentucky in United States. The KFC has credited as the world's second largest chain of restaurants after the McDonald's. The KFC has made its presence in almost all major countries. KFC is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands. This is also a company which runs Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurant's chain under its supervision. KFC was started by the Harland Sanders. He has its own restaurant at Corbin, Kentucky. That time, his restaurant was well known for fried chicken. The image of the Colonel Sanders published on the logo of the company and gave the name KFC. The KFC has placed itself among the top chain of restaurants in various countries. Firstly, the Sanders started cooking at the roadside with just six tables there. That time, he became famous and the Governor Ruby Laffoon gave him title of Kentucky Colonel. In year 1937, Sanders decided to increase its business and he equipped its restaurant with 142 seats. He also purchased a motel in street and gave them name Sanders Court and Cafe. KFC has opened its restaurants in Africa, Asia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, United Kingdom, United States, Oceania, Australia, New Zealand and many other major countries. In its restaurants KFC not only provides fried chicken also offers various other food items like snacks, burgers, toasted wraps, chicken, fried chicken, rice bowls, desserts, krushers etc.
