Karan Oberoi sent to 14-days judicial custody by Andheri Court

TV performer Karan Oberoi has been sent to 14-days legal custody by an Andheri court following charges of purportedly raping and blackmailing a lady in Mumbai. An FIR was enrolled at OPS (Oshiwara Police Station) in Mumbai under sections 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) against Oberoi. As indicated by the police, the actor-singer supposedly raped the lady on the pretext of wedding her. The performer's legal counselor, advocate Dinesh Tiwari said in an announcement, "We are applying for bail tomorrow and our opportunity of getting bail has expanded further." Asian News International prior revealed that he had been sent to police custody till 9 May. Oberoi was a previous individual from Indipop group A Band of Boys. Recently, the band just as on-screen character Pooja Bedi stood up with regards to the actor. In a Facebook Live video, they clarified Karan's childhood and the way that they could vouch for his conduct since they had known him for as far back as 20 years.
