Salik is a Dubai based automatic road toll collection system, launched in the time of 1 July 2007 by Dubai Roads and Transport Authority. Salik is based on RFID technology that automatically deducting a fee when a toll gate is passed down. Drivers are required to purchase a 100 AED prepaid card that is appended to their windscreens. 4 AED ($1.08) is deducted from the driver’s account each time they go through a toll door. At first, there were two toll doors, one close Al Garhoud Bridge, and second one close Mall of the Emirates on Sheik Zayed Road. Afterward, in the time of September 2008, two more entryways were introduced on Maktoum Bridge and at Safa. A further combine of entryways was introduced on Ittihad Road, the central course from Dubai to neighboring Sharjah and by the Dubai Airport Tunnel. The organization is a free-flowing framework, so you don't have to stop your auto anytime on a Dubai highway. There are no toll corners, barriers or physical doors, so you drive straight through the tolling entryway.
