TNAU University is a well-known university of the country which gives agro-technology education to the students. It is abbreviated as
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. The university offers different period of degree and postgraduate programs. It has eleven collages around Tamil Nadu. The colleges are Agriculture Collage and Research Institute Coimbatore, Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute, Agriculture College and research Institute Killikulam, School of Post Graduate Studies Coimbatore, Home Science College and Research Institute are some collages under TNAU University. TNAU was incorporated with an origination of
Agriculture School which is located at Saidapet, Madras, Tamil Nadu, during the year of 1868. Its agro-technology research and farm science centers are situated around the Tamil Nadu. After that, by the 1906, it was transferred at Coimbatore. It was accredited from Madras University, in the year of 1920. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University took the full responsibility about the Agricultural Education and Research. It also has an important place in delivering research products for the State Agricultural Department. During the year of 1946, ACRI was one and only institute in South India which gives agricultural education. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University commenced, in the year of 1971. The TNAU University gives undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the institute.
