By Rail: Gorakhpur is well linked through rail network and is one of the central stations in the area, as it works for as the headquarters of North Eastern zone of the Indian Railways.
By Road: Travellers from Nepal will arrive via bus to Bhairahawa the Nepalese side of the border, cross to Sunauli on the Indian side, then get on another bus to Gorakhpur.
