Moradabad is one of the most important commercial towns in Uttar Pradesh. Being the largest producer of Copper and its alloys in Asia, Moradabad is counted among the top five Copper-stuff exporting centers in the world. The city is famous throughout the world for its subtle copper and bronze work, thus earned the title “Brass city” or “Peetal Nagri” for itself. Apart from brass the other metals such as Iron Sheet, Metal wares, Aluminum Artworks, Mentha and Glassware are also exported. There are about 600 export units and 5000 industries in Moradabad, which export goods worth Rs. 2100 Crores every year. Being the biggest exporter of India is another distinctive feature of this city.
