Culture Of Panchkula

LANGUAGE  Hindi and Punjabi are the main spoken languages in Panchkula. English is also prevalent.

Fair and Festivals: Panchkula is not having any local fairs and festivals of its own. The national festivals and the local festivalsof Haryana are celebrated with great pomp and show in Panchkula. Mansa Devi Mela: Mansa Devi Mela is held in Bilaspur village near of Mani Majra (Chandigarh). There are two temples dedicated to the goddess here. This fair is held twice a year in March-April (Chat shudiashtami) and September-October (asoj shudi ashtami).

Teej: Teej is one of the major festivals that is celebrated in the month of July or August. Festival is a celebration to beginning of Rainy season most popularly known as 'Sawan' in northern India. Teej is also the name of a kind of insect in Haryana that comes out of soil after the first showers of the season.  This festival is mainly popular among ladies and girls who apply henna or Mehandi on the hands and dress up beautifully on this day.

FAMOUS RESTAURANTS  The famous Restaurants in Panchkula and eating places include: Hot Millions, Khane Khaas, Sagar Ratna, Chaplin, Yellow Chilly, Amritsari Kulcha and Channa, Tawa, Anupam sweet and Restaurant etc.
