Places To See In Panipat

It is located in Panipat. This is a major tourist place. Ruler "Sher Shah Suri" was built this huge mausoleum to commemorate the Muslim ruler, "Ibrahim Lodhi". Ibrahim Lodhi fought fiercely with his uncle Babur, in the battle known to us today as the "First Battle of Panipat" and was slained and burried at this place.

KABULI BAGH: In 1526, the Kabuli Bagh built by Babur. It is located on the banks of Yamuna. Babur built this mosque after the victory over Sultan Ibrahim Lodi. But now it is a heritage building. Humayun defeated Salem Shah near Panipat, he added a masonry Platform to it and called it ‘Chabutra" Fateh Mubarak. Now Kabuli Bagh is the name of these building and gardens.

DEVI TEMPLE: It is devoted to local goddess. Devi temple is popular for his ancient statue and architecture. To this temple nearby other attraction is Shiva temple. It is also known as Maratha named 'Mangal Raghunath'.

KALA AMB: It is located 42 km far from Karnal and 8 km from Panipat. 'Sadashiv Rao Bhau' ordered his maratha army during the third battle of Panipat was marked, by a black Mango Tree (Kala Amb) which has since disappeared. The dark colour of its foliage was probably gave birth to the origin of the name. The site homes a brick piller with an iron rod which is surrounded by an iron fence

SALAR GUNJ GATE: It is one of the gate holds historical significance to Nawab Salar Juge which is situated in middle of Panipat city.

TOMB OF ABU-ALI-SHAH KALANDAR: This is known as Dargah of Shah Kalandar Khizar Khan son of Alludin Khilji who built this tomb. It is 700 years old tomb which houses Hakim Mukaram Khan and Khawaja Altaf Hussain Hali in its premises. A large number of people visit this tomb on every Thursday.

SHRI RAM SHARNAM: It is an emblem of devotion of Lord Rama and his gratitude towards humanity. Its congregation halls and its atmosphere which is infused with pity and devotion which attracts many devotees .
