Maha Shivaratri:- Ujjain is the land of one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and on the day of Maha Shivaratri, massive pageants are passed out all through the city to take the blessings of Lord Shiva.

Ujjain Simhastha (Kumbamela):- It is a religious bathing festival of the city. In this occasion, people come from all over the country to take a holy dip in the Kshipra River on the full moon day of the Chaitra month.

Pancheshani Yatra:- In this yatra, devotees make tour of the city and take rest on the bank of Kshipra river. People cover 118 kilometers of the area in six days.

Apart from these, Karthik Mela, Kalidasa Handmade Craft Mela, Mahakal Shravan Sawari, Diwali etc., are also the popular festivals of this city.
