Una is a district of Himachal Pradesh which lies in its south western part. It has borders with Kangra Hamirpur and Bilaspur and then acts as a gateway to these regions. Una district is well developed in the industrial sector due to close proximity to Punjab. Agriculture and its associated activities are the main occupation of the people of this district 91% of population of this district lives in villages. It is famous among tourists for its beautiful Gobind Sagar Lake, famous Bhakra Dam built on river Sutlej, It hosts water sports like ferry-rides and speed boat races.
