Introduction Nainital

Set around the shores of the beautiful Naini Lake fringed with graceful weeping willows, Nainital is a Himalayan hill station of wondrous charms, Tiny villas and ancient bungalows dot the mountain sides of Ayarpata and Sher ka Danda and sailing boats move with the breeze of the lake. City is having an altitude of 1,938 meters, full of eye pleasing villas,bungalows and many tourist destinations that attracts visitor from all over India. City derived its name from the Naini Lake that is situated in the middle of the town. According to Hindu mythology, Mata Sati committed Suicide at yajna of Daksha Prajapati, her body was carried by lord Shiva and he roamed across the universe. During that period, Sati's eye fell near the lake, where the Naina Devi temple stands now.
