Getting There Chennai

Chennai can be reached easily by road, rail, air and even by sea because it is well connected with the whole world.

BY ROAD: It is well connected to all the major cities of India by the means of highways and roads. The newly opened Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminal which offers government bus services for Tamil Nadu and other states. It is the largest bus station in the Asia. Interstate buses operate at regular intervals from Chennai. For domestic and interstate transportation many private operators are also available. Pre-paid taxis and airport coaches are available at airports and railway station.

BY RAIL: Chennai is also the headquarters of Southern Railway, which is a division of Indian Railway. It is also connected to the other cities and towns by the super fast and express trains. The two main railway stations of Chennai are connected to many main parts of India.

BY AIR: Flights from all over the world are connected with the Chennai's ANNA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. Domestic airlines operate daily flights to all major cities of the country from the Kamaraj domestic terminal near the international terminal. Both air terminals are located at Meenambakkom about 20 km from the city.
