There is no airport facility available in Gangtok; the nearest airport to Gangtok is Bagdogra Airport in West Bengal, located at a distance of 124 kilometers from the city. The Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation operates daily helicopter facilities from Gangtok to Bagdogra airport.
There are two nearest railway stations in Gangtok; one is in Siliguri, situated at 114 kilometers from the city and another is New Jalpaiguri (West Bengal), located at 125 kilometers from the city.
The capital of Sikkim is well connected by all the national highways. Apart from these, 24 hours Local buses, taxis and jeeps services are also available here.
