Getting There Gaya

The city is well connected to the rest of India by roads, railways and airways.

By Air:- Gaya airport also known as Bodhgaya Airport, is situated 5 kilometers away from the main city. It is a domestic airport, but also serves a few flights to Buddhist countries like Bhutan, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

By Railway:- Gaya railway station is just like a lifeline for people of Gaya, as it connects the city with all the major cities of India such as Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi, Delhi, Kolkata, Varanasi, Kanpur, Agra, Lucknow, etc.

By Road:- There are three national highways viz. NH 83, NH 82 and NH 2 that passes through the Gaya District. The NH 2 connects the city to many important cities of neighboring states like Delhi, Dhanbad, Faridabad and other several cities. Apart from these, Auto, Jeep and Rickshaw are also available throughout the city.
