Ghaziabad is the Gateway of the Uttar Pradesh, which is 2.5 km from the Hindon river. Delhi is
adjacent to the boundaries of the Ghaziabad. Ghaziabad geographically is 28.67°N and 77.42°E.

According to 1991 census, the total area of the district was 2590.0 km2 but now it becomes 1933.3 km2.
POPULATION
According to 2001 census, the total poulation of the Ghaziabad is 33,14,070 whereas the population density is 1,127 per sq.km.

The average literacy arte of Ghaziabad is 69%. In Ghaziabad male literacy is approximately 75%, whereas female literacy rate is around 63%.

CLIMATE
The temperature and rainfall of Ghaziabad are similar to Delhi. There is great impact on the climate of the Ghaziabad due to the dust storm's from Rajasthan
and also due to the snowfall on the hills of Himalayas, Kumaon and Garhwal which are very
adjacent to the boundaries of Ghaziabad. The monsoon arrives in the district during the end of the June or the first week of July and normally it rains till October. sometimes due to snowfalll in hilly areas, adverse climate conditions occurs.
