Bathukamma, a spring festival, is one of the most famous festivals in the city. This is the festival of flowers, which is usually celebrated in either September or October. Perini Sivatandavam is the very prominent dance form in the city, which originated under the reign of the Kakatiya dynasty.
Apart from these, Vinayaka Chavithi, Ugadi, Sri Ramanavami, Holi, Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Diwali, Sankranti, Dussehra and Maha Shivaratri are also celebrated in the city with great bliss.
