Rajkot is the city situate in Gujrat. Rajkot is also ranked on 22nd position in
the worlds fastest growing cities from 2006 to 2020. This City is situate on
the banks of Aji river and Niari river. First it comes under in Bombay state
but on May 1, 1960 it belongs to Gujrat state. Rajkot stands 28th position in
India as the fastest grown city.
In the past time Rajkot was the capital of a princely state of Saurashtra and
also a headquarters of the British Government. In Rajkot, Mahatma Gandhi
spend some time of his life here. There's also the family home Mahatma
Gandhi where he spend his life, now a days its a museum of Gandhi's
items. The most famous and well known college the Rajkumar College
which is known among the best private colleges in India is also in Rajkot.
