Rajkot is the best example of those cities which are the successful combination of tradition as well as the modernity. This city consist of all colours of architecture and cuisine.

CUISINES: Ganthiya is the most famous cuisine of Rajkot. Ganthiyas here are of many types as fafda, vanela, bhavnagari, champakali etc. Ganthiya is basically stripes of dough made from besan flour + some spices + water and then fried into different shapes and tastes. It's not as easy to make as it seems. And other than Ganthiya, poha, jalebi, sweet samosa, sweet kachori are famous in Rajkot.

FESTIVALS: As other parts of India, All the famous festivals like Diwali, Holi, Dushera are celebrated with great enthusiasm. Except these Rajkot celebrates some other festivals too like Navaratri and International kite festivals.

NAVRATRI FESTIVAL: Navaratri Festival, Rajkot is a popular festival. Garba dancing is an enchanting part of the Navaratri Festival in Rajkot. The nine days during which Navaratri Festival is celebrated, the people of Rajkot city indulge in various religious and cultural activities.. International Kite festival: International Kite Festival, is celebrated every year in the month of January, the international kite festival takes place in the Rajkot city. Spectators from all over India gather in Rajkot to watch the colorful battle of kites.
