Dear Sir,Sub : Supply of S.G. Iron staves in blast furnaceWe are planning to introduce S.G. Iron Staves in Blast furnace. The approx. weight of each casting is around 2 tons. We will be requiring around 60 nos. of S.G. Iron staves for trial. The S.G. Iron castings are to be of S.G. 400/12 grade. The tentative composition of the casting is given below :C- 3.5 – 3.8%Si - 1.8-2.2 %Mn - 0.3-0.5%S - > 0.02 %P - > 0.08%Residual Mg – 0.02 – 0.06%The casting should be defect free and more than 95% nodulization has to be there. The casting has to be delivered at the site within two months after placement of order and inspection from our side. We are planning to procure the above items on urgent basis and trial in the blast furnace for monitoring its performance very shortly. We therefore, request you to send the budgetary offer stating the delivery schedule of the castings as per specification mentioned above. On confirmation from you, we will send the detail
