The earthy and organic sensibility of the restaurant is emphasised by lush botanical surroundings, pebbled walkways, cane & wooden furniture and bamboo railings. The wooden floor, blend of canes, wood, leather and stone display exotic design patterns. The emphasis has been to blend additional construction, furniture, décor and other man-made intrusions into the natural environment of the restaurant space which is an extension of Lodhi Gardens itself.
The restaurant's garden is a great, and we mean great, place for families for Saturday and Sunday lunch and brunch. The old carriages, stone waterfall, and a plenty of place for kids to run around and just be kids, makes the whole place full of life. There's a swing that can't be resisted and featherd friends can be seen in the adjacent fenced yard.Comforting colours have been used all over the restaurant; the Sewara identity is expressed through orange, used predominately throughout. The subtle lighting creates a romantic setting, although extra light can be arranged on request. The Lodi has 180 cover seating that is split between the Atrium, Bar Floor, Terrace, the Garden Area and the Ground Floor. The Garden Area is surrounded with numerous plants, some more than 100 years old. It is designed in a way to cater to numerous gatherings simultaneously. There's inside seating too, but only one should only choose this option when its unbearably hot and you want the benefit of fans and AC.
Though the menu is Mediterranean leaning, a generous portion of fish and chips, tasty soups, starters and entrees are also featured. The bar is fully stocked with Cosmopolitans and Green Apple Martinis and fresh fruit juice options. The waiters are friendly and no one gives you the eye hoping you will leave to free up the table. Desserts include chocolate mousse, apple pie and various ice creams with honey. Of course there is a nice fresh fruit platter with a mix of seasonal fruit for a healthier option.
The toilet is inside the restaurant and is also kid size so you won't even have to pick them up. Make a reservation, ask for the sofa and justify the request telling them you have kids with you.
