Lal Bagh Bangalore

Bangalore city has changed a lot. Its lakes have almost disappeared, its pubs shut down early, its roads are crowded with vehicles, the air is filled with dust from the metro work going on and the city of pensioners has now become overcrowded and a metallic and concrete jungle. But in the midst of all this lies the Lal Bagh Botanical Garden which continues to be the recluse not merely for lovers (of whom hundreds can be seen all over) but also for all other people who want a breath of fresh air and a comfortable walk amidst greenery without having to fear about being run over by vehicles.

It was laid out by Haider Ali in the 1740. Spread over 240 acres of parkland, many of its tropical and sub-tropical plants were briught here by Haider Ali's son, Tipu Sultan. The garden is well maintained and has a wealth of flora from all over the world. Animals and birds that have all but disappeared from other parts of the city can also be seen in the Lal Bagh gardens. Although this is a nice places to visit, if you are in Bangalore for the first time. Anyone will love its natural beauty, long lush gardens, tall cloud touching trees, beautiful flowers, sound of birds chirping from behing bamboo barks. Everything is magical.

Main problem with the garden is that no one, even the watch men don't know how to tell people that which lane inside the park will lead you to which way. At the end of back gate, there is one map board, looking at which you will surely get confused about your standing place. It is better to take a guide with you but be sure to ask him how much time will he spend with you and will he take you to the lake or will leave you in middle saying that this way will lead you to lake and after that is exit point.

It is as good for a family picnic as it is for a evening stroll or a morning jog. It is big, it is beautiful and it is disconnected from the city outside. Though it is quiet crowded on most days places can be found that offer the much needed peace.

One need worry only about looking into dark corners for couples doing their private things.People coming with children also would do good to shield from couples engaged in Public displays of sometimes embarrassing affection. Other than this. Lal Bagh is one of the must visit places in the city of Bangalore.

It is a pleasurable experience and a must for tourists. Do not forget to go round the garden in special cabs @Rs.100/- per head. Never forget to take your water bottles as drinking water joints are very far. Enjoy the greenery which is in surplus at this place. You will always the freshness in the air.
