Geography and Climate Mathura

Mathura is located at 27°17′N 77°25′E / 27.28°N 77.41°E.18 . It  has an elevation of about 174 metres (570 feet).  It is situated on the bank of Yamuna. According to the geography of Mathura, the city located in the fertile plains of north central India. The general angle of the town is the northwest to southeast towards the Yamuna.
The climate of  Mathura is very hot in summer and bitter cold in Mathura. In summer the temperature can go beyond 40°C.  May is the hottest month of the season with 44°C. Mathura witnesses the minimum temperature which falls as low as 2-3° C. January is the coldest month.
