Place of the Nanak - Gurudwara Ber Sahib:

This popular Gurudara is located in Kapurthala district at Sultanpur Lodhi. Sultanpur Lodhi is one of the four tehsils of Kapurthala district. Ber Sahib is one of the most sacred places in the history of Sikhism. It was here that the very first Guru of Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev had spent nearly fourteen years of his life. It is also a very popular belief that it was here that Guru Nanak was enlightened having taken a bath in a small rivulet which is known by the name bein. It is also said that Guru Nanak himself planted a Ber tree here, hence the name BER SAHIB. And it was under the shade of this tree that Guru Nanak Dev uttered the path of Mool Mantra known as the ‘SACRED WORD OF REVELATION’ recited by Sikhs all over the world.
