Madurai Education Society

Madurai is centre of learning. Education system is available for schools to colleges and universities. Alagappa University: This is situated at Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu near the Madurai and Tiruchirappali Airports. The University is accredited with grade ‘A’ through NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). There are about 18 Department, 2 Constituent Colleges and 5 centres on campus. Approximately 28 colleges are affiliated from this university. Alagappa University has an international collaboration with the institutions and universities of the countries like, Malaysia, South Korea, China, West Indies, USA, etc.

Annamalai University: The University was established by the hon’ble Dr. Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar of Chettinad, Kt, LL.D, D.Litt. The founder started many colleges and university in the year of 1929. Basically, the name of the university is based on the name of the founder. There are about 49 departments with the members of 3240 in the staff of teaching. The university’s campus, colleges, playgrounds, hostels are spread in about thousands of acres.

Madurai Kamaraj University: This University was founded in the year of 1966. There are 18 comprising schools and 73 departments. More than 109 colleges are affiliated under the university as well as about 7 evening colleges are approved. The name of the university is taken from the name of the city Madurai. In Tamil, The University was called as Palkalainagar and renamed as Madurai Kamaraj University in the 1978. All kinds of courses are available in the university.

All the universities are well facilitates for the students like hostels and Wi-Fi facility. By using the online technology students can have the all the information about the universities through websites. Also can have the related courses form download facility through internet. Courses are available for Graduates, Post Graduates, Diploma, P. G Diploma, Certificate courses in different departments, UG and PG Courses, INFONET centres, etc. to complete the higher education of the students.

Agricultural College and Research Institute: The Institute is known as the Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College Trichirapalli is the fourth college based on agriculture. The Institute was originally started in the year of 1989 and transferred the campus at 14 kilometre from Tiruchirappali to Kuttappattu village in 1992. The Institute has all the services to increase the knowledge of students like practical library centres are available. The library contains the 14 National Journals with 42 foreign books and 28 Indian books. Facilities of hostels, reading room, guest room, emergency healthcare, modernized kitchen are available. In the field of Sports and Games Facilities like Eight Lane Track, Multigym facilities, badminton, volley ball, football, cricket, hockey and basketball are available. All the computer centres are facilitates with internet connection with 35 computers.
